Nearly fifty CGCC Corvettes caravanned down to Truett Cathy's Farm and Automobile Collection on Saturday, April 19, 2008. The weather forecast wasn't great in the morning but promised to improve to a perfect spring day by noon -- and it did!
Because there were so many Corvettes signed up for this event, our Event Manager Harriette Majoros divided us into three Teams, each with a Team Leader to keep the caravan size manageable. It worked fine and we all arrived at Mr. Cathy's Farm in fine order and great spirits.
We formed up at Sidelines at 9:30a, lined up the planned Teams and posed for a photo just before the first Team took off:

It was exactly a one-hour drive from Sidelines to the Cathy Farm. They parked us all in a (thankfully) dry grassy field:

The property is beautiful and has a number of bronze sculptures in place:

Well, they weren't all bronze..
Mr. Cathy (the founder of Chick-fil-A) has several buildings devoted to his eclectic car collection; here are a few shots:

Harriette Majoros and our CGCC President Don Jones presented Mr. Cathy with a contribution from CGCC for one of his favorite charities in appreciation for opening his rarely-seen automobile collection to us.

After offering a blessing, Mr. Cathy and his wife of nearly 60 years, Jeanette, treated us to a feast of Chick-fil-A sandwiches and fixin's:

All in all, a great day and another great CGCC adventure!
